Rathdown School has an active and effective Parent-Teacher Association which aims to facilitate communication between the school and the parent body. As well as working to provide information for parents new to Rathdown, and creating forums for discussions of school developments and issues, the PTA meets regularly for social events so people can meet other parents from their daughters' year. Meetings are held annually for parents to meet staff members who teach their daughters, to discuss their progress and the reports they have received. The school sees this close relationship between school and home as being of great benefit to the whole Rathdown community. The PTA can be contacted by email on pta@rathdownschool.ie
