Senior School Taster Day for 5th Class
Rathdown School is delighted to offer 5th class students the opportunity to experience a morning in Secondary school filled with new friends and activities as part of Rathdown Taster Day for 5th Class.
Taster Day will take place on the morning of Friday 10th May
Advance booking for our Taster Day is essential.
The girls will get to meet fellow 2020 First Year classmates and explore their future surroundings while taking part in taster subjects followed by some delicious lunch. As part of our programme to support the transition to Rathdown Senior School, we offer girls the opportunity to spend a morning experiencing some of the different and exciting subject areas and activities. It is also a great opportunity to make new friends.

What happens on Taster Day
The girls will get to meet fellow classmates and explore their future surroundings while taking part in taster subjects followed by some delicious lunch.
Our Taster Day runs from 9.30am to 1.00pm and features a series of fun and educational activities such as HE, Drama, Music and PE.
The girls take part in lessons, perhaps play some sport, enjoy a drama or music lesson, and meet their future classmates.
Registration: After registering on the day at the reception, girls will be assigned to groups and take part in a series of lessons that will inspire and provide them with a taste of senior school life.
Lunch: Girls will be able to meet up and socialise with members of the other groups during morning break and lunchtime. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Our canteen offers a wide choice of options to suit most tastes and dietary requirements.
Clothing and equipment: Girls should wear casual clothes with trainers and a jacket so that they are comfortable and able to take part in a PE session. We will provide any equipment the students may need for their lessons.
Collection: Students should be collected at 1.00pm from the Senior School Canteen, where staff members will be available to answer any questions.
