Rathdown School

1st Year 2025 Admissions

REGISTERING FOR 1ST YEAR 2025:

Simply complete our Application Form and return by post or email registrar@rathdownschool.ie along with the Registration Fee which is payable either online through our website on the home page or by Bank Transfer. 

Rathdown Senior School welcomes Applications for the 2025 First Year intake from 1st October 2024.  This process is in line with the provisions of the new Admissions to School Act 2018 where schools around the country are expected to behave in a uniform manner and the new guideline dates are as follows:

  • School will commence accepting Applications for admission – 1st October 2024
  • Applications will close – 22nd October 2024
  • Applicants notified in writing of the Schools decision – 12th November 2024
  • Applicants confirm their acceptance by – 26th November 2024

Once a place has been offered, the parent / guardian has 14 days in which to accept the offer. To accept the offer €1,500 is payable immediately.

This €1,500 is non-refundable and non-transferable and secures the place. It will then be applied against the school tuition fee for the first year the child is in the school.

For existing students transferring from the junior school in Rathdown the non-refundable and non-transferable amount payable upon accepting a place in the senior school is €1,000.

PLEASE NOTE PAYMENTS WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED BY CASH OR CHEQUE.  Bank details can be found here.

Applicants should not be dissuaded from contacting us outside these dates as there can be cancellations and/or deferrals of offered places.
