Green Schools

Rathdown students are very proud of their school environment.

The Junior School is part of the International Green Flag Award Programme.

With seven flags already behind us, our very enthusiastic Green Schools Committee have achieved the Global Citizenship - Energy status.

This is a maintenance theme which gives us an opportunity to revise the Energy theme while looking at issues surrounding Energy on a Global scale.

The most obvious global link to the energy theme is of course Climate Change, the most serious environmental problem of our time – and intrinsically linked to our energy use.
