Rathdown Music School

Music plays a vital role throughout school life in the Junior School. Music is made accessible to all students, whatever their abilities, whether being inspired for the first time or developing existing skills.

For the youngest students we offer Kindermusic- an early introduction to the delights of music-making.  

From P1 onwards, our dedicated team of music professionals offer a wide range of individual Instrumental lessons, including;

Guitar 

Recorder 

Flute 

Violin 

Viola  

Cello 

Clarinet 

Trumpet 

Percussion 

Irish Harp 

Voice 

In addition, our Choirs and Orchestras are open to the whole school and meet weekly to offer the students the amazing experience of performing together, both at school events and at competitions and festivals.  

Our Talent Show is a much-anticipated highlight of the Junior School year, allowing our students to demonstrate their considerable skills!
