September to December were very busy months with Junior Cup Squad with a fantastic opening game v St Cillians winning 4-0 and going very close against Loreto Beaufort narrowly losing 2-1 in the second round of the Cup. Seniors had a fantastic opening league game drawing 1-1 with last year’s Senior Cup finalists Muckross. In the Cup in the first round against High School was an incredible fixture with both teams with scoring opportunities and the girls were unlucky to lose on shuttles in the end. They now qualify for the plate where they will play Conlieths. Senior 2 enjoying some wins over 2-0 v St Andrews, 5-0 v Foxrock Junior B going strong in their league beating St Gerards 3-2, and Loreto Beaufort. Our Minor a & b Squads have had great results with our Minor B beating St Andrews and Holy Child Killiney. Our Minor A going well in the league with a 1-0 win over Newbridge and in the cup beating Alexandra college in the first round and Sanford park in the second round, setting up a Quarter Final clash v Loreto Dalkey. First Year hockey girls have been training hard and have enjoyed some competition with 8 a side blitz v St Gerard’s , High School and Loreto Dalkey. Their league will most likely start after Christmas. Well done to all our hockey players and coaches and enjoy a well earned break!
