Performing Arts

Students are provided with numerous opportunities to enjoy music in the school's Performing Arts Academy which is housed in a state-of-the-art purpose-built Music Centre.

All students have music classes as a central part of their curriculum.

The students are introduced to music in KG1 and KG2 through percussion instruments and singing and regular music sessions. From P1 to P6 students learn the recorder as part of their music curriculum and master a variety of different tunes during the year.

The Junior School also has an orchestra which is made up of girls of different ages. The P5 and P6 students are members of the Junior School choir and together with the girls who take individual lessons in a variety of instruments, they have the opportunity to perform in music recitals and compete in competitions such as the Feis Ceoil and many other inter-school competitions.
