Scholarships & Bursaries

Scholarships are central to Rathdown’s ethos, and all girls are encouraged to strive to realise their potential.

Rathdown Senior School is pleased to announce details of its 2020 Scholarship Programme for incoming 1st Year students.

The annual Academic Scholarship Exam will take place on Saturday 7th December 2019 and consists of papers in English, Irish and Mathematics.

The timetable and application form will be made available in October.

An application form and the fee of €30 can be sent to Rathdown School by Friday 22nd November.

In addition to the academic scholarships available we like to encourage and recognise excellence in our students especially in the areas of sport, music and art. Rathdown has a fund to support those with exceptional talents and to help them fulfil their potential. Access to this fund is gained through discussion with the Senior School Principal.

A separate Boarding Open Evening will also take place on the evening of Saturday 7th December. Click here for more information on this event. Students attending the Scholarship exam who may be interested in boarding are welcome to register their interest in attending by emailing the Registrar or call +353 (0)1 285 3133.

Rathdown also provides financial assistance with tuition fees in the form of bursaries to help parents cope with situations of financial difficulty.

Application for bursary assistance should be made through the Principal and the application process is entirely confidential. Bursaries can apply to new or existing students.
